Petition by Chueng Chu Fenɛ C.O. REGY.

We ere instructed to send you the enclosed Petition

in triplicate with copies of the proceedings of the General

Military Court at Hong Kong to which it relates.

We may say Petitioner is well known to us end he has

always occupied a good position in the Colony end is esteemed

by the British and Chinese Communities.

The long sentence of imprisonment passed on the Petitioner's

young son in the unsettled conditions prevailing immediately

after the liberation of the Colony well merits your attention

with a view to ordering his release or granting a remission

of much of the sentence.
